Product
Bendy Bois Flexible Panels are made from high-quality and cost-effective high density and moisture-resistant MDF. They come in a range of profiles to create a 3D decorative look. Unlike wood pulp panels they offer superior durability while still being cost effective and easy to use. They are designed and made to be flexible. They easily curve making them ideal for use on curved walls or furniture.
They can be applied to any solid surface including gyprock, painted walls, acrylic, wood or MDF/Plywood. They can be applied to walls, ceilings, cabinetry and furniture.
They come in the three sheet sizes
- 1200mm by 1200mm
- 1800mm by 1200mm
- 2400mm by 1200mm
Each profile has a different height and profile width. Please see each product listing for the profile height.
Our Flexible MDF Panels can be cut along the direction of the profile with a sharp Stanley knife.
It is important to cut the panel laid flat with a panel, track or circular saw when cut across the profile.
Once cut you're ready to add your adhesive and install.
Our flexible MDF panels are not appropriate for wet areas. However, they can be used in bathrooms, laundry, and kitchens where there will be occasional water exposure. In these areas, we suggest sealing the panels with a top coat after painting for extra protection.
Yes! Absolutely. All our panels come pre-primed with a high-quality white finish. While they have been pre-sanded we suggest a light sanding to ensure paint adhesion before applying paint.
After the panel is fixed and the adhesive has cured you can paint your panel. Our panels are suitable for all paints including two pack paint. However we suggest only applying paint to the panel after it has been fixed to its final position, to avoid the paint cracking.
Each panel starts and finishes on the full width of the profile. This allows you to run them continuously. If you see any slight gaps they can be easily filled with wood filler for a seamless finish.
All our panels come in a white pre-primed finish, ready to paint.
Yes, our panels look great on doors and can be fixed to the door using contact glue or a fast curing liquid nails adhesive.
The flexibility of our panels will vary based on the profile design. We suggest referring to the product page for each profile to check what the minimum radius can be achieved for your chosen design.
When installing the product on right angles, you will need to cut the panel to get a clear angle that is sharp. If you have a question about a specific application please contact us and we can guide you.
